That I May Know Him

Scripture:

“That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.” – Philippians 3:10

Beloved,

It’s easy to get caught up in the web of church activities, programmes, and positions, all in the name of working for God yet outside of His approval and divine standards. Many today are committed to ministry work but disconnected from the one they claim to serve. Sadly, you can be busy for God and still miss God.

Apostle Paul, a man with spiritual credentials and ministry exploits, still cried out with hunger: “That I may know Him…” This desire didn’t come from a new believer; it came from a seasoned apostle who had encountered Christ dramatically. Why? Because Paul understood that knowing God is a lifelong, ever-deepening pursuit, not a one-time experience or religious routine.

Sometimes, you must disconnect from noise even from people to reconnect with God. It’s time to reassess. You can be actively planning church programmes and still miss eternity. Activity is not intimacy. Ministry is not a substitute for a relationship.

“To know Him” means pursuing God beyond religious activity, beyond duty, and beyond tradition or formality. It is not merely being present in church or being busy in ministry. It is about pressing into the heart of God, seeking His face above His hand, and desiring His presence more than His blessings.

It is a daily longing to walk with Him, to understand His will, to hear His voice, and to be transformed into His likeness. Knowing God personally reshapes your priorities, reforms your desires, and redefines your identity. It is a relationship built on surrender, fellowship, and obedience, not performance.

God desires a people who will walk with Him intimately, not just work for Him publicly. A people who will burn in secret devotion, not just shine in public ministry. The question is not how many activities you are involved in but how deeply rooted you are in Him.

It is possible to gain the applause of men and miss the approval of heaven. But when you truly know Him, even your service becomes an overflow of love, not obligation. Your worship becomes deeper, your prayer becomes richer, and your life becomes a testimony of His transforming grace.

As we step into a new season following our glorious 1st Year Anniversary, may this be a time of spiritual awakening and renewal. May the Lord draw us closer to Himself, away from distractions, pride, self-righteousness, and empty busyness.

May He realign our hearts with His, restore our hunger for His presence, and revive every dry area of our spiritual life. Let our pursuit not be after visibility, titles, or validation, but after divine intimacy and eternal reward.

May we rise from this season with a fresh fire, a renewed focus, and a deeper walk with God. May our lives reflect Jesus more clearly, our hearts burn with passion for Him, and our ministries become a fragrance of His presence to everyone around us

Beloved, let this be the cry of your heart not just this month but always:
“That I may know Him…”
