Obedience

Beloved,

We are now in the dispensation of Christians that cherry-pick the scriptures to suit their needs. They love the blessings of Old Testament but ignore the instructions and use the message of grace as a camouflage to walk in disobedience.

It’s rather lamentable that many Christians are living their lives as if Old Testament has been deleted from the Bible using Grace as a license to sin. Jesus said clearly in Matthew 5:17 that “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil them.”

God demands complete obedience to His words from us regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves. Hence, disobedience is not justifiable even when we have reasons to do so. Obedience is not an option, but it’s a command with blessings attached.

Obedience is simply doing it right before God, and it might sometimes contradict the norms of society and our own acquired knowledge or experience over the years.

This year, be determined like never before to obey God in every area of your life, and He will fight your battles. Remember, you can not correct disobedience by walking in disobedience. You will always reap what you sow. Keep learning and growing in God.
