Scripture:
“but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ” – Ephesians 4:15
Beloved,
As we journey through this month, God is drawing our attention to a vital kingdom reality: Growth and Transformation. This is not a suggestion, it is God’s expectation for every believer. Scripture makes it clear that spiritual life is dynamic. Stagnation is never God’s design.
The purpose of our walk with Christ is clearly stated: “until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13–15). Growth is evidence of alignment. Maturity is proof of transformation. When Christ is truly Lord, change is inevitable.
Transformation begins with understanding that God is the source of life and direction. All things were created by Him and for Him, and therefore fulfillment is only found in alignment with His will. Growth in God requires intentional submission, choosing divine direction over human reasoning and spiritual discernment over worldly patterns.
The call to grow is also a call to continuous learning. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Grace initiates the journey, but knowledge sustains growth. A believer who refuses to grow in understanding will struggle to walk in victory. Growth demands consistency in the Word, prayer, and obedience.
True transformation is not external behaviour modification; it is an inward work of the Spirit. “We all… beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18). The more we behold Christ, the more our desires, priorities, and character are reshaped.
Transformation is progressive, it moves us from one level of glory to another. This transformation is preserved through a renewed mind. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:1–2).
Growth requires separation from ungodly patterns and alignment with kingdom principles. What you repeatedly allow into your mind will eventually shape your life. A renewed mind produces a transformed life.
Therefore, growth demands intentional surrender. Presenting ourselves fully to God allows Him to mould us into vessels fit for His purpose.
When God leads and we follow, our steps become ordered, our decisions become purposeful, and our lives reflect His will. Remember, lasting success and fulfilment are products of spiritual growth and divine transformation.
When God is at work in a life, progress becomes evident. This month, commit yourself afresh to learning, yielding, and growing in God. This is your season of Growth and Transformation.
