God Has Not Forgotten You
Scripture:
“Can a woman forget her nursing child that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.” – Isaiah 49:15 (ESV)
Devotional Thought:
Beloved,
There are seasons when it feels as though God is silent. You may be praying and seeking answers, yet nothing seems to shift. The world around you may feel unstable – financial hardship, global unrest, personal struggles, and you might begin to wonder: Has God forgotten me?
In moments like these, it’s easy to question God’s love, His timing, and even His ability to provide. But take heart: God has not forgotten you.
His silence is not absence, and His delay is not denial. The God who walked with the Israelites through the wilderness, feeding them with manna and covering them with cloud and fire, is the same God who walks with you today.
He sees. He knows. He cares.
If God led you to this place, He will lead you through it. The dry season will end. The storm will pass. And when it does, you will look back and see that God was there all along working, refining, strengthening, and preparing you for greater things.
Hold on to His promises. Every word He has spoken concerning you and your family will come to pass. Stand firm in faith, and let your heart be encouraged.
Today’s Reflection:
1. Where in your life have you felt that God is silent?
2. Can you remember a past season where God came through for you when you least expected it?
3. What promise from God’s Word can you hold on to this week?
Prayer:
Lord, in the moments when I feel forgotten or overwhelmed, remind me of Your faithful love. Help me to trust You, even in silence.
Strengthen my heart to believe that You are working behind the scenes, even when I can’t see it.
I choose to stand on Your promises, knowing that You are my Provider and my Deliverer.
Let this season end in praise, and may all the glory be Yours in Jesus’ Name – Amen.
